Uys Krige (1910-1987), writer of novels, short stories, poems and plays in Afrikaans and English. Krige was hostile to Afrikaner nationalism and White Supremacism, and was a mentor to young Afrikaner intellectuals who convinced them to join the internal opposition to Apartheid.
